Development of the Maumere Consumer Price Index September 2024

Abstract

In September 2024, Maumere experienced year-on-year (y-on-y) inflation of 1.39 percent with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 106.58.

The y-on-y inflation occurred due to price increases indicated by an increase in 7 of the 11 expenditure group indices, namely: the food, beverage and tobacco group by 1.41 percent; the housing, water, electricity and household fuel group by 1.44 percent; the household equipment, equipment and routine maintenance group by 2.39 percent; the health group by 0.29 percent; the education group by 4.56 percent; the food and beverage/restaurant provision group by 3.90 percent; and the personal care and other services group by 1.70 percent.

In September 2024, Maumere experienced month-to-month (m-to-m) inflation of 0.48 percent. The year to date (y-to-d) inflation rate in Maumere in September 2024 was 0.18 percent.
