Development of the Maumere Consumer Price Index November 2024

Abstract

In November 2024, Maumere year-on-year (y-on-y) inflation was 1.82 percent with the Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 107.45.

Y-on-Y inflation occurred due to price increases as shown by the increase in 8 out of 11 expenditure group indices, namely: food, beverage and tobacco group by 2.35 percent; housing, water, electricity, and household fuel groups by 1.50 percent; household equipment, equipment and routine maintenance group by 1.21 percent; health group by 0.76 percent; information, health, and financial services group by 0.18 percent; education by 4.56 percent; food and beverage/restaurant provision group by 4.01 percent; and the personal care and other services group by 1.70 percent.

In November 2024, there was month-to-month (m-to-m) inflation in Maumere of 0.46 percent. The Maumere year-to-date (y-to-d) inflation rate in November 2024 is 1.00 percent.
