Development of the Maumere Consumer Price Index February 2024

Abstract

In February 2024, Maumere's year on year (y-on-y) inflation will be 3.46 percent with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 106.56.

Y-on-y inflation occurred due to an increase in prices as indicated by an increase in 9 out of 11 expenditure group indices, namely: food, beverage and tobacco group by 5.73 percent; clothing and footwear group by 0.72 percent; housing, water, electricity and household fuel group at 0.53 percent; equipment, tools and routine household maintenance group of 1.02 percent; health group at 0.56 percent; transportation group at 6.53 percent; education group at 1.19 percent; food and beverage/restaurant provision group at 4.13 percent; and the personal care and other services group at 1.38 percent.

In February 2024, Maumere experienced deflation of 0.37 and the year to date (y-to-d) inflation rate for Maumere in February 2024 was 0.16 percent
