Development of the Maumere Consumer Price Index January 2024

Abstract

In January 2024, Maumere's year on year (y-on-y) inflation will be 3.57 percent with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 106.96.

Y-on-y inflation occurred due to an increase in prices as indicated by an increase in 9 out of 11 expenditure group indices, namely: the food, beverage and tobacco group by 5.99 percent; clothing and footwear group by 1.54 percent; housing, water, electricity and household fuel group at 0.71 percent; equipment, tools and routine household maintenance group of 1.09 percent; health group by 1.48 percent; transportation group at 5.34 percent; education group at 1.19 percent; food and beverage/restaurant provision group at 4.13 percent; and the personal care and other services group at 1.64 percent.
The month to month (m-to-m) inflation rate and year to date (y-to-d) inflation rate in Maumere for January 2024 are 0.54 percent each.
