Development of the Maumere Consumer Price Index November 2023

Abstract

In November 2023 Maumere saw inflation of 0.18 percent with a Consumer Price Index of 116.61 (base year 2018=100), calendar year inflation rate (year to date/ ytd) of 2.70 percent and year to year inflation rate ( November 2023 against November 2023) of 3.81 percent.

November 2023, the combination of 3 Inflation Cities in East Nusa Tenggara will experience MtM Inflation of 0.37 percent with a CPI of 115.08. Kupang City experienced MtM Inflation of 0.48 percent, Maumere City experienced MtM Inflation of 0.18 percent and Waingapu City experienced MtM Deflation of 0.37 percent.

Inflation in November 2023 in Maumere City occurred due to an increase in the price index in 5 of 11 expenditure groups. The expenditure group that experienced the largest increase in the price index was supplies, equipment and routine household maintenance at 0.62 percent, followed by the food, beverage and tobacco group at 0.54 percent.

In November 2023, of the 90 National CPI sample cities, 79 cities experienced MtM inflation and 11 cities experienced MtM deflation. The city that experienced the highest MtM inflation was Bandar Lampung City at 1.05 percent, while the lowest MtM inflation occurred in Padangsidimpuan City at 0.01 percent. The city that experienced the highest MtM deflation was Tual City at 0.51 percent, while the lowest MtM deflation occurred in Singkawang City at 0.01 percent.
