2025 Village Potential (PODES) Data Collection Begins in Sikka Regency

Statistics Indonesia (BPS) of Sikka Regency has begun conducting the 2025 Village Potential (PODES) data collection on June 2, 2025. This activity is being carried out across all areas of Sikka Regency, covering 194 villages and sub-districts.

The purpose of PODES data collection is to describe the potential of areas at the village/sub-district level through the collection of data across various sectors such as social, economic, and infrastructure. The data is primarily sourced from key informants, namely the local village or sub-district officials.

One of the main objectives of this activity is to provide data for the preparation of the Geographical Difficulty Index (IKG) and to support the updating of village classification or typology.

Through PODES 2025, it is expected that accurate information will be provided as a basis for planning and evaluating development at both local and national levels.
