Development of the Maumere Consumer Price Index August 2024

Abstract

In August 2024, Maumere's year on year (y-on-y) inflation will be 1.12 percent with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 106.07.
Y-on-y inflation occurred due to an increase in prices as indicated by an increase in 8 of 11 expenditure group indices, namely: the food, beverage and tobacco group by 1.20 percent; housing, water, electricity and household fuel group at 0.79 percent; equipment, tools and routine household maintenance group of 2.62 percent; health group by 1.10 percent; transportation group by 0.70 percent; education group of 0.06 percent; food and beverage/restaurant provision group at 3.90 percent; and the personal care and other services group at 1.42 percent.
In August 2024, Maumere's month-to-month (m-to-m) deflation will be 0.28 percent. The year to date (y-to-d) deflation rate for Maumere in August 2024 is 0.30 percent.
