Development of the Maumere Consumer Price Index March 2024

Abstract

In March 2024, Maumere's year-on-year (y-on-y) inflation will be 0.95 percent with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 105.18.

Y-on-y inflation occurred due to an increase in prices as indicated by an increase in 8 of 11 expenditure group indices, namely: the food, beverage and tobacco group by 0.63 percent; clothing and footwear group by 0.65 percent; equipment, tools and routine household maintenance group of 0.93 percent; health group at 0.56 percent; transportation group at 4.28 percent; education group at 1.19 percent; food and beverage/restaurant provision group at 4.24 percent; and the personal care and other services group at 0.88 percent.

In March 2024, Maumere experienced deflation of 1.30 and in line with that, Maumere's year to date (y-to-d) inflation rate in March 2024 also experienced deflation of 1.14 percent.
