Quarterly Training of Micro and Small Industry Officers

After the Covid-19 pandemic, the Indonesian economy has improved marked by increasing purchasing power and easing of social restrictions which have driven increased demand for domestic processing industry products. This is supported by increasing retail sales and demand for processing industry products, especially from the household and consumption sectors. The ability of the processing industry to continue to adapt and innovate with dynamic market conditions, so as to increase competitiveness and attract investment.

The Quarterly Micro and Small Industry Survey conducted by the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) periodically produces a production index indicator (quarterly) for the processing industry with 1-19 workers and as one of the supporting outputs in calculating GDP. In order to meet the data needs of the manufacturing industry, especially related to IMK, the Central Statistics Agency periodically conducts a Quarterly Micro and Small Industry Survey.

The quality of Human Resources greatly affects the quality of the data produced, therefore the BPS of Sikka Regency held a Quarterly Micro and Small Industry officer training which was held on October 7, 2024 at the BPS office of Sikka Regency. It is hoped that by implementing quarterly training for Micro and Small Industry officers, the objective of implementing the survey, namely to measure quarterly production growth of MSME businesses/companies, especially in the Sikka Regency area, can be achieved.
