VIMK24 Quarterly aims to determine the growth of IMK production which can be used as material for macro economic development planning. VIMK24 Quarterly presents the production growth of micro and small scale businesses/companies according to the Standard Classification of Indonesian Business Fields (KBLI). The 1st quarter VIMK24 enumeration was carried out on April 1-5 2024, which was carried out in several areas of Sikka Regency with a sample size of 13 businesses.
Considering the important role of IMK in the national economy, the availability of accurate data and information related to IMK is a necessity. Therefore, BPS organizes a Quarterly Micro and Small Industry Survey (VIMK) which is carried out regularly every year. From the Quarterly VIMK, production index figures can be calculated as an indicator in the IMK sector. The resulting index figures describe the development of production in the processing industry sector at an earlier stage because it is designed to be periodic, namely every quarter.
The IMK business in question is a business that carries out economic activities that change basic goods mechanically, chemically, or by hand so that they become goods of higher value. Included in this activity are industrial services, namely industrial activities that serve the needs of other parties (raw materials are provided by other parties, while the processor only carries out the processing and receives compensation as remuneration/earnings).
A total of 13 respondents were sampled in VIMK2024 Quarter I spread across several sub-districts such as West Alok, East Alok, Nelle and Waigete. In this survey, there were four enumerators and one supervisory officer. The Quarterly VIMK data collection is expected to provide a more accurate picture in calculating the production index in Sikka district.
